The first Bag Boy golf cart was made by Bruce Williamson of Oregon in 1945, from lawnmower wheels attached to a folding chassis. He formed the Jarman-Wilson Partnership with E. Roy Jarman in 1946 and the pair began to manufacture aluminum tube golf carts. Williamson sold up to Jarman in 1957 and the name remained for a further decade while Jarman also developed a golf bag. The Bag Boy Company grew and eventually sold again to the Browning Arms company in 1969, after becoming internationally renowned. Two more sales occurred before the Bag Boy Company became a company in it's own right.
